Ami began studying music at the age of 13 with renowned guitarist, percussionist, and producer Ray Ippolito. Under Ippolito, he learned bass guitar, musical improvisation, and gained an extensive knowledge of musical theory and composition. After graduating high school, Ami continued his musical education attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. There, he studied jazz and classical composition, ear training, arranging, songwriting, film scoring and music business. He was also able to further develop his instrumental skills on the bass guitar, piano, guitar and voice. Over the years, Ami has developed his own unique style as a bassist, vocalist, songwriter and performer. In addition to running Hababa music, Ami works as a producer, jingle writer, film and television composer, and voiceover artist. He lives with his wife, Rozy, in Riverdale, New York.

Yonah has been making noise and creating his own sound for 24 years. His formal musical teachings started 13 years ago with his first drum teacher, Russ DiBona, who taught him the importance of groove, style, creativity and “in the pocket” drumming. Yonah worked with Russ for four years and then with teacher Michael Hinton, who instilled in him a love for the art of percussion and performance. Yonah brings his talent and passion to every event. His unique style and on-stage charisma will bring your simcha a bold, ‘rockin’ new sound that will liven up any dance floor.
